On the morning of October 31st, SIC’s President Xu Qiang met with Mr. Lee Yong Jae , President of Korea Center for International Finance (KCIF) and the delegation. Xu Qiang welcomed Lee's visit and said that the two sides will take this opportunity to deepen the understanding of respective functions and of the current global macroeconomic situation. Niu Li, Deputy Director-General of Economic Forecasting Department of SIC introduced China’s economic situation since this year and the application of the forecasting and early warning model.

On behalf of both sides, Xu Qiang and Lee Yong Jae signed the MoU on Strengthening Cooperation in Economic Analysis and Forecasting. The MoU aims at promoting specialized cooperation between the two sides in the fields of economic forecasting analysis and early warning system. Zhang Yuxian, Director-General of Economic Forecasting Department, SIC and representatives from World Economic Analysis Division, KCIF attended the signing ceremony. Relevant staff from Economic Forecasting Department and Comprehensive Management Department attended the activity.
