For implementing the key spirit of Party Secretary-General Xi Jinping's important instructions on the development of digital economy, fully carrying out the national big data development strategy, and accelerating the digital transformation in Gansu Province, the kick-off meeting of "inclusive cloud computing supporting service, big data integration, and enterprise empowerment with intelligentization" aciton and "building data centers in western region" pilot program, hosted by People's Government of Gansu Province, was held in Lanzhou on September 26th. Liu Yunan, President of SIC, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

President Liu Yunan pointed out in his speech that the digital transformation of the economy has become an irresistible trend, and the digital economy itself is expected to be the main force of modern economic system, main engine for leading high-quality development, main domain for deepening supply-side structural reforms, and main driving force in strengthening comprehensive national strength and international competitiveness in the future. The action is critical for building the national integrated big data center system, and the pilot program is indispensable for supporting the internal cycle between computing power demand in eastern area and computing power supply in western area. In accordance with the tasks and requirements of the action, SIC will cooperate with relevant departments for the implementation of the action so as to promote the development of digital economy in Gansu.  

31 departments including SIC, Gansu Development and Reform Commission, Government of Minhang District of Shanghai, and Shenzhen Development and Reform Commission signed 10 cooperation agreements at the meeting, including "Joint Strategic Cooperation Agreement of Promotion and Implementation of the Pilot Project", "Strategic Agreement on the Ecological Development of 5G Short Video Industry in Gansu Province”, and “Strategic Cooperation Agreement on Building a Digital Silk Road International Cultural Communication Base”. On behalf of SIC, Vice President Zhou Min signed the agreements.

Director-General of Big Data Development Department Yu Shiyang, Deputy Director Chen Qiang and Wei Ying, and other related personnel attended the event.
