On the morning of August 24, 2018, a strategic cooperation agreement was signed on co-building Block Chain Technology and Application Laboratory by the State Information Center’s post-doctoral research station, Peking University Information Technology Institute (Binhai, Tianjin), and Department of Electric Information and Electrical Engineering, Dalian University of Technology. Zhang Xueying, Vice President of State Information Center, attended the signing ceremony and delivered a speech. According to the strategic cooperation agreement, the three parties will closely cooperate on talent training, discipline building, technology innovation and application and standardized work on block chain.

Vice President Zhang Xueying said, block chain, as a typical applied innovation of information technology, has attracted great attention from governments, academia and corporate of all countries. It has a prospect of wide application in promoting technology innovation and serving the social and economic development. The three institutions, with rich research experience and professional teams in this field, are hoped to join hands through the Laboratory to study block chain basic technology and policies, advance its standardization and application practice, and serve local and national digital economic development.
