Invited by 2023 West Lake Digital Security Conference and hosted by SIC, the Seminar on Digital China & Security Governance was convened in Hangzhou on May 7, 2023. SIC’s President Liu Yunan attended the seminar and delivered a speech.

He said that the top-level design on building a cyberpower and Digital China was blueprinted in the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China(CPC). By thoroughly implementing the spirit of 20th National Congress of the CPC, we must consolidate our thinking and actions with the Central Committee’s major decisions and plans in order to strenuously write the new chapter of digital China in the new journey toward building a modern socialist country in all respects. Meanwhile, with the rapid-changing technologies like AI, the Internet of Things and big data, digital transformation in economic and social fields have brought new issues in network security and security governance becomes an important guarantee for digital development. We have to continuously enhance the building of network security guarantee system, improving security consciousness and technology protection capacity to ensure the sustainable development of digital China.

Liu Yunan said by sticking to the positioning of an information-based innovation thinktank, a research highland in digital economy and a center of data factor research, application and management in the new era, SIC has established five business brands, including SIC forecasting, data, platform, consulting services and network security. In the future, SIC will fulfill its mission and responsibility in building China into a cyberpower, giving full play of its advantages as a national decision-making supporting base and national e-government network platform in the aim of boosting high quality development of digital China.
