State Information Center Held the 2020 Annual Summary and Commendation Meeting

On the morning of February 3rd, the State Information Center(SIC) held its 2020 annual summary and commendation meeting. Under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the meeting fully implemented the guiding principles of the Party’s 19th National Congress and the second, third, forth and fifth plenary sessions of the 19th Party Central Committee, and conscientiously carried out the decisions and arrangements of the Central Economic Work Conference and the requirements of the National Development and Reform Work Conference. It reviewed the working progress in the year of 2020 and implemented key work schedules in the year of 2021. Liu Yunan, President and Secretary of the Party Committee delivered an annual work report; Wu Wenhua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee made an annual report on Party building progress. Vice President Zhou Min presided over the meeting, and Vice President Xu Changming and Zhang Xueying attended.

 

The meeting stressed that in the year of 2021, the SIC shall adhere to the new development concepts and focus on the development and reform work. It was also emphasized to strengthen the concepts of systematic and integrative development, by keeping on the right path and making innovations, deepening the reform and serving the development and reform work as a core. SIC shall strive to providing robust support for the country’s digital transformation and modernization to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party with remarkable achievements.

 

At the meeting, key work schedules of 2021 were implemented: firstly, firmly carry out SIC’s work under the flagship of Party building; secondly, strengthening the role of internal management and team building; thirdly, focusing on the “three major targets”, namely, building an innovation-based and information-characterized think tank, establishing a research highland for the development and integration of digital economy, and building a research-application-management center for digital factors; fourthly, promoting SIC’s five key businesses including economic forecasting, data service, network service platform, consulting and network security.

 

The meeting recognized 10 advanced groups and 117 advanced workers, and called on all staff to learn from them, thereby, uniting and striving to create new achievements and progress in the coming new year.

 

The meeting was held in line with related COVID-19 containment protocols. About 100 people attended the meeting, including the Chief Economist, Chief Engineer and Chief Information Engineer, cadres administrated by National Development and Reform Commission from all the departments, persons in charge of all the divisions and subordinate companies, and staff representatives.
